Till Next Year!

We're leaving to celebrate New Years in Clermont!

I wish everyone a SAFE and HAPPY New Years weekend! God Bless xoxo

See ya next year ;)
& Enjoy the new look !

On our way.

Today we're leaving to Clermont. Hopefully the baby will be okay staying in her car seat the full time, but we might stop in halfway to change her diaper and let her stretch.

The above picture was taken like a week ago. I layed her down infront of my computer and took pictures of her on Photo Booth. :)  The flashes made her stare right at the screen lol

Stay tuned for pictures of our trip!

Outfit of the Day: Week 11 - Mixing Prints

So we went to CB Smith Park together for the first time. My brother and some of his friends were having a barbeque and we went. We walked around, ate, and enjoyed the outdoors - wind, trees, duck, everything.

About the Outfit
She's wearing a onesie she got at her baby shower. Its an off white color with silver polka dot and "loved" imprinted on the front. This skirt is part of another outfit but the onesie to that one is still too big. Its by xoxo for babies, and has flowers on it. She didn't wear any shoes, just simple off white socks.

We also changed her earings! Its been a month since we pierced them so now its safe to switch. I have to keep an eye on them in case they get infected.
Enjoy your Tuesday!

First Time: Christmas!

Our First Christmas!

On Christmas Eve we went out to eat with my mom, Armando, Danny, and a friend Mike. We went to BJs, it was so yummy! I should have taken pictures of the food because it was amazing.

Then today, Christmas, we went to my brothers house to have lunch, open presents, and watch the first Heat game of the season. Which, of course, we won :D She wore this cute, striped sweater with pink pants.

Yay for double chins!

I love this bow we got from target. Its hard to find bows this color. Its a high contrasted green, adorable.

We hope your Christmas was a wonderful one!

Its Christmas Eve!

Usually I'd be more excited. Especially since its my babys first Christmas. But unfortunately, my family and my boyfriends family decided to spend it away from us. Thankfully my mom will still be here. So it'll be the suckiest Christmas.. not because the lack of money for billions of presents.. but because we're gonna be alone. I dont think my boyfriend cares to much but Ive always been around all my family for the holidays and this year we're not. Whatever right?

Anyways, tomorrow is Christmas and I'm thinking we're gonna watch the basketball season kick off. That will be fun at least =) How are you spending your christmas?

Happy Christmas Eve!

Review: Pampers "Baby Dry."

http://www.pampers.com/

WHAT THEY SAY IT DOES:

  • 3 layers of absorbency versus 2 in the other leading brand
  • Flexes for a snug and comfortable fit
 WHAT I SAY IT DOES:
My baby does not get irritated, not even red, when wearing Baby Dry. She did a little with Swaddlers. And they are both great, but I would prefer Baby Dry because it really does protect her. It is definitely true to what it claims.
pros:
keeps baby dry for at least 9 hours
it fits comfortably around her legs and waist

cons:
cannot hold very large amounts of poop
the bottom line:
I give it a good 4.5 stars!
I am very happy with these pampers, I'm not even gonna lie. The only thing that can be annoying is that if she poops a lot, it will probably leak out of the diaper. Its happened to her only once, but thats because I usually know when shes pooping so i just take it off right away and that time when it leaked out I hadn't noticed she pooped until I felt her wet and suppperr smelly. But its amazing at keeping my baby dry, especially since she sleeps so much already and has to stay in one diaper. Pampers is my favorite brand for diapers (i'll review other I have used in the near future.)

Pre-Christmasing.

So this year, for the first time ever, my family and I will not be together for the holidays. Ironically, it's my babys first christmas and everyone decided to leave. But whatever.. I'm not going to get into that.

This past saturday we had a family get together.. even though the food was like 2 hours late and we didnt really spend time together. But we took advantage and took some pictures of my family with the baby.

Outfit of the Day: Week 9

This top was bought at JC Penny. It comes with a head band (which is still too big) and pants (which are also big.) This top is big too but it was doable.. the shorts are from Mud Pie, the same ones from the previous outfit of the day (Click Here for that one and a link to Mud Pie.)

Well today we were with my mom all day. We went to her house, then we went to pick up my nephew & niece.. I'm gonna put some picture I took with them tomorrow. Just wanted to post this real quick :)

more pictures coming tomorrow,

Sung to Sleep.

Ayleen has a little boombox in her room that is on 24/7, since she came home from the hospital. We have different C.Ds we use, like a spanish lullabies, lullaby instrumentals, classic Bethoven, and others.

This month of December I have pulled out my Christmas CDs and have filled her room up with Christmas spirit! We have played Whitney Houston, Destinys Child, and Jaci Velasquez. I am still on the hunt for more CDs, but for now she has those.

Its pretty cool because we can hear the music through the monitor in our room, so Armando and I are always sung to sleep too haha. It works for us, and this way the baby is used to music and noise while she sleeps.

Happy December,

First Time: Getting Vaccines

We got poked today!! And guess who poked us?? (in "we" and "us" i really just mean baby.) DADDY POKED US! Armando works for the babys pediatrician, Dr.Zembrano. So he administered the shots on the baby. Look at her face!

It even hurt me :( I hope she doesnt get sick from the shots. So far shes been great. Shes a trooper!

Reviews: Desitin VS. A+D Ointment.

Desitin"Rapid Relief"

http://www.desitin.com/desitin-rapid-relief-cream

WHAT THEY SAY IT DOES:
  • "Relieves diaper rash discomfort from the very first use
  • Creamy formula that glides on smoothly and wipes off easily
  • Acts as an anti-inflammatory, reducing redness and irritation of sensitive and inflammatory-prone skin
  • Forms a protective barrier on the skin
  • Provides moisturization and emolliency to the skin"

 WHAT I SAY IT DOES:
I honestly will never try another ointment again unless I was paid to do so. This cream has helped my baby so much, wayyy better than the A&D lotion I was using before (read below for that review.) It really does everything they claim! I have a big tube which I leave on her changing table and small one which I carry in her diaper bag. I usually only put it on her before she goes to sleep for the night (since she will stay in the same diaper for many hours) unless for some odd reason she gets irritated during the day.
pros:
reduces redness and irritation
its pediatrician reccommended
hypoallergenic
easy to apply and wipe off
a little goes a long way

cons:
none!

my rating:

A+D Ointment "Original Ointment"

WHAT THEY SAY IT DOES:
"A+D Original Ointment helps prevent diaper rash by creating a protective barrier on your baby's skin. Use it at every changing to help avoid another diaper rash. The special formula includes vitamins A and D and lanolin and is gentle enough to use every day."

 WHAT I SAY IT DOES:
I thought this was going to be a home run when it comes to treating my babys irritation and redness since it really helped me to heal my tattoos. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It is gel-like and I like that its clear, but it doesn't really heal the way  I expected it to.
pros:
clear colored
gel like texture

cons:
hard to spread
doesn't heal the skin quickly

my rating:

the bottom line:
I would much rather Desitin over A+D. Desitin heals faster and is easier to apply. I like A+D because its clear color and it worked on my tattoos but when it comes to diaper rash and such Desitin has worked a lot better than A+D. I havent tried the other A+D formula but Desitin is truly amazing and works so well that I'm not interested in trying anything else! Maybe Ill try the other Desitin formulas. Ill keep you posted!

thanks for stopping by!

throw ups and long trips.

So we had a little visit from an old friend of mine, Karina. We've known each other for more than 5 years and we used to spend all the time together. Shes a very good friend and it looks like Ayleen loves her too, since she threw up on her like 2 times! haha

So soon we will need to start packing for our trip to Clermont again. I'll probably make a video about essentials needed. Since I've been there before and I know now what I need and what I dont need. So stay tuned for that :D
